THREE TWIGS. BORN ON THE BEACHES OF AUSTRALIA.
Three Twigs was born out of a desire to stagger out into the sun and wait, near the water for the wilderness to come and deliver some very wearable timbery treats.
Three Twigs is a collaborative of several different minds (not necessarily in different bodies) which all have a love of tangents (and alliteration).
Our range of wood sunglasses have been in development for many a year. While being a little slower to market than hoped, we have not settled on any aspect of the design or production – what we have is an amazingly well made, amazingly comfortable and lightweight range of sunglasses.
If we had a mission statement, it would be in short, concise sentences designed to persuade you, the consumer, that wood is good and anything else is just plastic.
Our shades
Our wooden sunglasses are crafted from solid wood which have been specifically chosen for their natural aesthetic qualities, as well as functional strength.
We could go on and on about why we have chosen the particular woods we use in our sunglasses, but suffice to say, we have tested many a timber and only selected the best.
We shoud mention that the lighter colour timbers of tigerwood and dumu will develop with age - the wood will darken and the grain will become more prominent. Just like your favourite pair of jeans, these sunglasses will quickly become your most favoured bit of gear. Brilliant we thinks!
All our shades come with the finest quality, scratch resistant, polarised lenses and also high end spring flex hinges – which ensure a perfect fit on every face while also preventing the sunnies from stretching when worn on top of your head.
Three Twigs of King Svätopluk
There is a Slovakian proverb that has nothing to do with why we call ourselves Three Twigs. It goes something like this:
... we have no idea what it means either.
An unrelated riddle...
How much wood would a wood whittler whittle if a wood whittler would whittle sunglasses? The answer is clearly Three Twigs.
